While I was telling you all about my trip to Barcelona, I was keeping busy here in Madrid. Since Semana Santa, there’s been two more long weekends filled with a ton of sunshine, picnics in Retiro, house parties and just in general being out and about.
My friend’s terrace has a most interesting collection of odds and ends.
Melissa and I went to the Iker Casillas and Rafa Nadal Charity Day.
Alex and I dropped the ball on getting tickets for the Rayo Vallecano v. Athletic Bilbao match, so instead we ate sandwiches and sat outside the stadium,
Before going to the CaixaForum’s Pixar exhibit, Melissa and I stopped at la pizzateca. for what is definitely the best chicken teriyaki pizza. ever.
Post-Pixar viewing, we went next door to Vertical Caffe for coffee and smoothies. If you’re in Madrid during the next few months, go and see the Pixar exhibit. It’s absolutely fantastic. They don’t allow you to take photos, though I managed this one.
There’s always such whimsical street art in Madrid.
