Good Things

dot1  Two weeks ago, at El Rastro, I had lost/had my wallet stolen and this week, I went and picked it up at the Canadian embassy. A couple of euros lighter, naturally, but everything else still inside.

This last week I’ve found both Nylon (my favourite magazine of all time) and National Geographic in Madrid. #winning

My new favourite snack is pomegranates, natural yogurt and honey.

dot4The leaves these last few weeks have turned such beautiful colours and I’m loving walking around with all of them crunching under my feet.

Afternoon: A Mix

afternoonAnother new thing I’m trying this week is making mixes. Again, something I’ve thought about doing for awhile now and have just never gotten around to doing. So! I decided that, in an effort to keep trying new things, I  might as well finally put one together and share it with you all.

The weather here has finally, finally, finally started to cool down and be actual fall weather. So I put this together.  Music to listen to while drinking tea and staying curled up on the couch reading a book. That’s what this is for.

I actually had a lot of fun putting together the cover, actually. I mean, it’s nothing complicated, but it was still fun putting the pieces together. Just for that, I might put together more of these together. Since it’s my first one, let me know what you think and if I hit the nail on the head.

Things I’m Loving:

+ While I’m trying new things here, my dad’s started his own blog on being a stay at home dad over here. Check it out.
+ 5 Ways to be Kind – (To yourself)
+ Craziest OKCupid date – (And an interview with one half of the couple. WUT?!)
+ Nutella hot chocolate – (Best thing or BEST THING?)

Spain, Valencia

Hello, Valencia

hello v

This last weekend I went on a fairly last minute, definitely not planned trip to Valencia. If you’re not entirely sure where that is, it’s about 2.5 hours from Madrid, on the east coast of Spain, on the western edge of the Mediterranean sea. Also the third biggest city in Spain and pretty much everything anyone could ever want for a mini getaway. Meaning: all us North Americans were pleasantly thrilled by the fact that we were wearing shorts and t-shirts and hanging out at the beach on the first weekend of November. Things we don’t normally get to do back home.

Hello, All of You

IMG_8678

So I found this new blog the other day, which you should definitely check out because it’s lovely and wonderful and has amazing photography and those are good things to have in your bloglovin’. In the first post of hers that I read, she did a kind of ‘get to know you’ bit that I really liked and that I want to do over here. Blogging, by its very nature, is very self absorbed. About what I’m doing and seeing and thinking and I would love to include more of the ‘you’ into it. I love meeting new people and I would really love to meet those of you who read my blog!

So! In the comments, let me know:

1 – Where do you live and where are you from?
2 – What are your top 5 favourite books, 4 favourite movies, 3 favourite songs, 2 favourite blogs and number 1 favourite dessert?
3 – If you could hop on a plane right now, where would you go?
4 – Three things you’re thankful for right now.
5 – An interesting fact about yourself and something/anything you’d like to share (a photo, a song, a podcast, etc.)
