Merry Christmas

photo 2

We had a lovely Christmas. We visited Grandparents and ate lots of food. I Skyped home (twice!) and watched brothers and sisters dig into stockings and unwrap presents. There were Archie comics and Christmas oranges and scratch tickets, TMNT shells and Iron Man aprons and new boots and winter jackets. My dad sat down and walked me through some new updates for my laptop (OS X Mavericks is now mine) and it’s ready to face the new year.  I got dressed up and got to hold babies and eat as much chocolate as I could stand. I (finally) put the Christmas cards I’ve had waiting for a week in the mail and watched Christmas movies. And I hope you all had a very merry Christmas with loved ones and favourite people and those you care about.

Things I’m Loving:

+ This cheesecake – (How delicious does that look?!)
+ Salted Caramel Eggnog Pancakes – (Two of my favourite things in this recipe!)
+ Mulled Apple Cider – (My favourite drink of the Christmas season!)
+ Some giveaways to enter – (Because: free things!)

Christmas Mice

IMG_9304

Almost every ornament on my family’s Christmas tree has a story behind it. Everyone has a couple that they specifically hang up every year, for whatever reason it may be. One of my favourite ornaments is one I made way back when I was in grade two or three. My school had an evening for families to come and there were activities and one of them were these baby mice.  Continue reading
