I Sea Blue

Who can see the ocean from their bedroom window? I can’t see if you’ve raised your hand, but know that mine is up so high, my fingers are almost brushing the ceiling. I mean, there’s a house kind of sitting right in the middle of my view, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s really nothing.

Tonight’s my last night here before I head back to La Baule to get the rest of my stuff before I board the train Sunday to head out to my new family. (Did I mention that already? I can’t remember. But if I didn’t: I’ve found a new family. Two hours outside of Lyon, next to the Swiss border. So a white Christmas looks to be on the books.) I would come back. Possibly during the summer, because that cliché of a summer holiday by the ocean was pretty good last summer in Taiwan and I’m not above having some sun with my beach.

Things I’m Loving:

+ These photographs – (One ‘Photograph of the Day’ for the last eleven months.)

+ These bookstores – (I’m a sucker for a bookstore. Especially one with a fantastic design.)

+ This magazine – (A big thing in France is weekly magazines. Which I appreciate since they’re normally less in content but the consistency means I can keep practicing.)

+ This website – (My friend sent it to me ages ago and then re-introduced it to me a couple of days ago, with the suggestion that I create something for my time in France. Naturally, I jumped all over that idea. I don’t know exactly how I’m going to do that because I don’t have a portable printer (now on my wishlist though!), but I’ll figure it out.)
