No School Wednesdays

Things being in a new place means: I get to show it off. I get to, once again, go around and take pictures of all the little details. But even more exciting than that is: I get to take pictures of people living with all those little details and put it all together like puzzle pieces, showing how it all fits (and sometimes how it doesn’t.)

This was our first No School Wednesday together and it went so well, better than I thought it would. Colouring, cooking, and climbing snow hills. What else could anyone ask for?

Something new we’re trying out is cooking together on Wednesdays. On the weekend the kids will pick out something from one of their many cookbooks that they want to make. This week it was chaussons de chèvre, which was super simple as a first time test and the kids loved helping/eating it. This is the recipe book that they seem to enjoy looking through the most and everything is cut down into easy to-do steps and the little drawings for each recipe add a little bit of fun to it all.

Things I’m Loving:

+ These gift suggestions for the traveller – (Especially this, this and this. Oh, and this and this.)

+ This article – (There’s still romance in football.)

+ This club scarf – (I bought a share and now I want the scarf. Naturally.)

+ These recipes – (Simple yet delicious.)
