When it comes to taking pictures, I normally try to play it fairly safe, especially when it comes to lighting. I haven’t had a lot of practice with lighting, as of yet, and so trying new things comes in small steps for me.

These pictures were one of those ‘small steps’:

Lighting: Fashion

The most anticipated assignment (for me) for our lighting class was our Fashion assignment. My classmate Sarah posed for me and I really had a lot of fun. I also think it’s some of the strongest pictures I’ve taken this semester. That could just be me, though.

We changed the lighting around several times to get different effects, and I’ve received a fairly positive review on the shots I’ve shown.

 Only three more weeks and then my first year of Photojournalism is finished. Also received some exciting news for this summer, of which I’ll feature here later on. However, until it’s a very permanent mark on my summer, I’ll be saving it for a bit longer.
